This policy explains how cancellation, refunds and the right of withdrawal apply to event tickets, festival and workshop admission rights, and event-related accommodation services purchased through the Bailatix platform.
The seller of tickets is the organizer holding the event. The Platform is the commercial agent that intermediates the sale in the name and on the account of the organizer and collects the price on its behalf. Cancellation and refund conditions are primarily set by the organizer and announced on that event's own page; because the price is collected by the Platform, the refund is made by the Platform.
Article 15, paragraph 1, subparagraph (g) of the Distance Contracts Regulation sets out the following services as exceptions to the right of withdrawal:
"Contracts for accommodation, goods transport, car rental, catering, and leisure activities that must be performed on a specific date or period."
Event tickets, festival and workshop admission rights, and event-related accommodation packages fall within this definition; accordingly, a ticket or price refund cannot be requested after purchase on the grounds of "changing my mind."
This notice is also shown separately, and submitted for the buyer's confirmation, at the payment step before the order is completed.
Although there is no right of withdrawal, organizers may, at their own discretion, set more flexible cancellation conditions. Where cancellation/refund is offered for an event, the conditions and any deduction rates are announced on the event page.
When submitting a cancellation request:
Cancellation and refund requests are not accepted for tickets whose event date has passed, that have already been used (QR code scanned), or that have been transferred.
For cancellations originating from the buyer, the service fee charged by the Platform for its intermediation service is not refunded; that service is treated as performed once the ticket has been sold. Where the event itself is cancelled, the service fee is refunded as well (see section 4).
Where the organizer cancels the event, or it cannot take place due to force majeure, both the ticket price and the service fee you paid are refunded.
You will be notified of the cancellation by e-mail. You do not need to submit a separate refund request; if you have one, sending it to the Platform is enough.
The refund is made to the card or account used for payment. The time for the amount to post to your account depends on your bank and typically ranges from 2–14 business days. This period is outside our platform's control.
Accommodation (hotel/room) services purchased in connection with an event also fall within the exception to the right of withdrawal. Cancellation and refund conditions for accommodation are set by the relevant hotel and organizer and are shown separately at the time of purchase.
For tickets purchased together with an accommodation package, it may not be possible to cancel part of the package separately; this is stated before purchase.
Whether tickets can be transferred to third parties depends on the conditions set by the organizer. Where transfer is permitted for an event, the transfer must be carried out through your membership account using the tools the platform provides.
Reselling tickets outside the platform, in particular above the sale price, is prohibited. The validity of tickets acquired this way is not guaranteed, and the platform cannot be held liable for any resulting damage.
You may direct cancellation, refund and other requests to either the selling organizer or the Platform. Requests submitted to the Platform are forwarded to the seller without delay and followed up.
If your request cannot be resolved, you may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee in your place of residence, within the monetary limits announced annually by the Ministry of Trade, or to the Consumer Courts for disputes exceeding those limits.
